Singapore shares open 0.68% higher on Friday

Singapore shares opened higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,066.72, up 0.68 per cent, or 20.82 points.

About 261.6 million shares exchanged hands.

Gainers beat losers 121 to 45.
