Singapore shares open 0.57% lower on Tuesday

Singapore shares opened lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,270.16, down 0.57 per cent, or 18.60 points.

About 692.6 million shares exchanged hands.

Losers beat gainers 220 to 41.
