Singapore shares open 0.57% higher on Thursday

Singapore shares opened higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,279.60, up 0.57 per cent, or 18.48 points.

About 1.22 billion shares exchanged hands.

Gainers beat losers 207 to 59.
