Singapore shares open 0.34% lower on Friday

Singapore shares opened lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,049.96, down 0.34 per cent, or 10.40 points.

About 13.96 million shares exchanged hands.

Losers beat gainers 72 to 56.
