Singapore shares end losing streak; STI rises 1.13% amid regional rally
The benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) finished in the black for the first time in 11 sessions, rallying 33.85 points, or 1.13 per cent, to 3,038.03 on Thursday.
Some 3.85 billion shares worth $1.23 billion changed hands.
The STI's rebound came amid a regional rally, with Japan up 0.91 per cent, Hong Kong 0.84 per cent higher and South Korea 1.22 per cent in front.
Most of the 30 STI component counters ended on positive ground, with 20 gainers, eight losers and just two flat.
