No change to component stocks on the Straits Times Index after review

The 30 blue-chip stocks that make up the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) have held on to their spots.

The STI component stocks were unchanged after a quarterly review of the FTSE ST Index Series, said Singapore Press Holdings, Singapore Exchange and FTSE Group today.

The STI is the main barometer for the Singapore stock market, and is used as the basis of financial products including exchange traded funds, futures, warrants and other derivatives.

Three new counters listed in October were added to the FTSE ST Small Cap Index.
