Nera Telecom's earnings more than double to $5.7m

Buy SPH photosNera Telecommunications said its third quarter net profit jumped to $5.7 million, more than doubling from the $2.7 million in the same period last year.
Revenue for the three months to Sept 30 soared by 31.7 per cent to $48.2 million, owing to higher turnover from both the telecom and infocomm business segments.
Earnings per share rose to 1.57 cents from 0.73 cent previously while net asset value per share firmed to 17.21 cents compared to 16.92 as at Dec 31.
Quarter-on-quarter, profit before tax increased significantly by 90.1 per cent.
