MAS proposes changes to make prospectuses easier for investors to understand
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) on Monday released a consultation paper with proposals that aim to make it easier for investors to understand company prospectuses.
A company will lodge a prospectus with the MAS when it seeks to go public.
The central bank's consultation paper included proposals such as developing a regulatory guide to encourage good drafting practices for prospectuses.
Other suggestions included boosting the page limit for a product highlights sheet and adopting a question and answer format for the product highlights sheet of equity securities.
