SIA Engineering posts 5.8% drop in Q2 profit

Buy SPH photosSIA Engineering has posted a 5.8 per cent drop in second quarter net profit to $67.1 million.
Revenue for the three months to Sept 30 rose by 4.4 per cent to $284.5 million.
Performance in the current quarter was impacted by an exchange loss of $3.5 million compared to a gain of $7.1 million a year ago.
Earnings per share slipped to 6.09 cents from 6.5 cents previously while net asset value per share fell to 111.4 cents compared to 114.3 cents as of March 31.
