Kulicke and Soffa Industries' president and CEO Bruno Guilmart joins EDB board
The Economic Development Board (EDB) has appointed a new member to its board and re-appointed four others.
Mr Bruno Guilmart, the president and chief executive of semiconductor assembly equipment manufacturer Kulicke and Soffa Industries, will join EDB's board with effect from Feb 1, the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) said on Friday. Kulicke and Soffa Industries, one of the first companies to list on the Nasdaq exchange in the United States, relocated its corporate headquarters to Singapore in 2010.
Mr Guilmart is also a director of Avago Technologies, a semiconductor maker with headquarters in both California and Singapore. His previous roles include president and chief executive of Lattice Semiconductor and senior vice president at Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing.
"With his depth of experience and having lived and worked in the US, Europe and Asia, he brings to the board a Global-Asia perspective to the needs of global mid-sized companies," the MTI said of Mr Guilmart's appointment yesterday.
