Keppel Land secures prime site in Wuxi for $82 million

Keppel Land China has secured a mixed-use site in Wuxi in the Jiangsu province for 417.6 million yuan (S$82 million).

The China arm of mainboard-listed Keppel Land will build a mixed development comprising 1,135 high-rise residential apartments and commercial units on the 6.6-ha site in Beitang District.

Targeted at the upper-middle market, the proposed development will make up mainly of two- to three-bedroom units ranging from 90 square metres to 140 sq m and will include shopping streets and Soho (small office home office) units.

The development, which is expected to be launched in the first half of 2015, will feature recreational facilities such as clubhouse, gymnasium, children's playground and landscape gardens.
