ATHENS (AFP) - Greece's unemployment rate rose to 24.8 per cent in the third quarter from 23.6 per cent in the previous three month period, the ASE national statistics agency said Thursday.
Over three-fifths, or 62.6 per cent of the jobless were long-term unemployed, having been out of work for more than a year.
In the third quarter of last year the unemployment rate was 17.7 per cent.
Greek unemployment has more than doubled since the start of the debt crisis in 2010.
