Britain's official Q3 growth downgraded to 0.9%

LONDON (AFP) - Britain's economy emerged from recession in the third quarter with downwardly-revised growth of 0.9 per cent, official data showed on Friday.

"UK gross domestic product ... increased by 0.9 per cent between the second and third quarter of 2012, revised from the previously estimated increase of 1 per cent," the Office for National Statistics said in a statement.
