BOJ's Shirakawa says will keep up efforts to end deflation

Buy SPH photosTOKYO (REUTERS) - Bank of Japan Governor Masaaki Shirakawa said on Wednesday the central bank will continue to strive toward steadily ending deflation.
"It's true that the BOJ's policies alone won't immediately end deflation. But we hope to do our best to achieve a stable economic environment," Mr Shirakawa told a parliamentary committee.
