Lim Cheng Tju, who has written about history and popular culture in Singapore, will speak on how Singapore's comic books and graphic novels, which have been around since the 1980s, are a primary historical source to learn about the past. He highlights Unfortunate Lives (produced in the 1980s) and Mr Kiasu (produced in the 1990s).
