Transformed Wah Lok offers new items on menu

Wah Lok, which opened in 1988 at Carlton Hotel, is known for its excellent dimsum and classic Cantonese cooking.
It reopened last month after a major renovation and now boasts a more contemporary and luxurious look with marble and brass finishes, as well as an expansive grand entrance. Flanking the entrance walkway are private rooms, including one with a huge table that seats 20 persons.
Some new items on the menu are also reason to check out the new Wah Lok.
Among these is an excellent baked custard bun that is topped with a buttery crumble. And there is an interesting appetiser of deep-fried century egg wrapped with minced shrimp that should not be missed either.
