(REUTERS) - Images of various artworks featuring the use of chewing gum, including the latest creations by Anna-Sofiya Matveeva in the town of Makiyivka in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine.
Matveeva created a series of three artworks, depicting football club Shakhtar Donetsk's coach Mircea Lucescu, the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and singer Elton John.
The artist uses gum chewed by her acquaintances, as a creation usually requires from five hundred to one thousand pieces of chewed gum. The pieces, donated by different people and making one portrait, symbolise contributions of multiple individuals to the formation of a celebrity, according to Matveeva.
