Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones does not think much of the current crop of rock bands today.

The 57-year-old punk pioneer tells Life! in a telephone interview that there is not a single band on the music scene that has the potential to make as much impact on the industry as The Sex Pistols did in the mid-1970s.

"A lot people play it safe these days, they don't wanna rock the boat too much. It's very mild these days," he says.

"No one has any attention span these days," he laments. "No one is focused these days, too busy about Twitter and Playstation, clicking on a band online and onto the next thing. There's no real attention span in young people."
