Singaporean comedian Chua Enlai's hilarious performance as Thai pole-dancing reporter Pornsak Sukhumvit on sketch show The Noose has won over the hearts of many TV viewers.

Now, that performance has won him the award for Best Comedy Performance at the 18th Asian TV Awards Thursday night, an annual awards show that hands out prizes for excellence in TV broadcasting throughout Asia.

It is the second time Chua has won the award in the same category. The first was back in 2010, also for his work on The Noose, though the character of Pornsak had not been created yet at the time. Then, he was known for his performances as pretentious reporter Jaques Ooi and pseudo-British news anchor B.B. See.

Holding the award in his hand, Chua, 34,  could barely contain his excitement as he repeatedly shouted "woohoo".
