When local singer-songwriter Tanya Chua's fourth English-language album, Just Say So, was released last year, she could not devote time and attention to promoting it.

Her eighth Mandarin album, Sing It Out Of Love, was also released at the same time and that was the focus, since she has a larger fanbase and the far more successful career in the Chinese music scene.

Sing It Out Of Love eventually won her a record third Best Mandarin Female Singer honour at the Golden Melody Awards, the Chinese music equivalent of the Grammys.

On Dec 7, the 37-year-old who started out as a fresh-faced musician singing in English is going back to her roots with a solo concert at the Esplanade to perform songs from Just Say So.
