SushiAirways:'Kitschy' sushi bar ready for take-off

SushiAirways, a sushi bar with an airplane theme in Baghdad Street, may sound gimmicky but it looks like it will have a smooth take-off.
That is because kitschy though it is, the idea is fun and one has to admit that it is executed rather well.
The small eatery, which seats 33 people, is designed like an airplane cabin. And the servers are dressed like air stewardesses in figure-hugging uniforms.
The focus is on sashimi and sushi, and it is the maki or sushi rolls that stand out. Items such as avocado roll and futomaki may sound ordinary but the freshness of the ingredients make them extraordinary.
