Superhero flicks and Jack Neo movies ruled last year's box office
Local film-maker Jack Neo's national service dramedy Ah Boys To Men is one of the top films last year at the box office. It was beaten only by a bunch of superheroes and a British super secret agent.
Neo's movie came in at No. 5 on the chart of highest-grossing titles at the cineplex in 2012, after Marvel's The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider-Man and James Bond movie Skyfall.
Earning $6.18 million, it was the top-grossing Asian title.
The Avengers raked in $13.73 million, The Dark Knight Rises flew off with $8.93 million, The Amazing Spider-Man scaled the chart with $8.84 million and Skyfall made away with $6.88 million.
