Soul singer Farisha Ishak, 19, is The Final 1, takes home $50,000 cash
Soul singer Farisha Ishak has won TV reality singing competition The Final 1.
The 19-year-old received more votes from the public to beat marketing communications executive Shaun Jansen, 28, after their final performances at the Star Performing Arts Centre on Wednesday night (Aug 21), which were broadcast live on MediaCorp Channel 5.
She takes home a $50,000 recording contract and $50,000 in cash, the biggest prize in local reality TV talent show history.
Fans voted by phone, SMS and on Facebook between 9 and 9.50pm, just before the results show at 10pm. MediaCorp has yet to release the number of votes cast for each finalist.
