Sex.Violence.FamilyValues chalks up strong box office takings
The local film that caused a flap over alleged racial slurs in its dialogue will run for a second week, following strong box- office performance in its opening weekend.
Sex.Violence.FamilyValues, written and directed by Ken Kwek, has earned $10,000 as of March 17. It opened on March 14.
Launched with just two-per-day screenings in one hall at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard, an extra eight sessions were added last weekend to cope with ticket demand.
This week, the screenings will be expanded to thrice daily, with more slots over the weekend.
