ScreenSingapore gets more profile at Asia TV Forum & Market

ScreenSingapore has improved in its second edition this year after a shaky start last year. This was due to the Media Development Authority-hosted event piggybacking on the more established Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF).

This move was generally welcomed by industry insiders here.

Among the local industry players giving the combined event the thumbs-up was Mr Eugene Wong, 41, managing director of CG Protege Animation School. He said that leveraging on the Asia TV Forum & Market was a smart move. He added: "As a standalone event, ScreenSingapore was very small and didn't have enough to flex its muscle as we don't have enough to show. Look at the way it was set up this year. It has a bigger presence and this improves its branding."

The Asia TV Forum & Market, in its 13th edition, and ScreenSingapore were held together at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre from Dec 4 to 7. The event offered a joint platform for the global TV and film industry to show their wares, services and offerings with red-carpet premieres, a TV and film content market, screenings of upcoming releases and conferences.
