Celebrity chef Emmanuel Stroobant is closing his 13-year-old upscale French eatery Saint Pierre at Central Mall in February and opening a new restaurant at Sentosa.

The new, yet-to-named restaurant will be located at The Quayside Isle in Sentosa Cove, near where the chef's other restaurants including Brussels Sprouts, are currently located. It is slated to open in April or May.

Although co-owner Ms Edina Hong, who is chef Stroobant's wife, says Saint Pierre will be "relocating" to Sentosa, she says it is not yet known if the new restaurant will retain the Saint Pierre name.

But the concept, she says, will be different though nothing has been finalised yet.
