MOSCOW (AFP) - Michelin two-star French chef Thierry Drapeau has lost a precious book containing recipes he noted down over 20 years while on a trip to Russia, a top Russian chef said Monday, offering a 10,000 euro reward for its recovery.
Drapeau's cookbook mysteriously disappeared while he was giving masterclasses in Yekaterinburg, the biggest city in Russia's Urals region, the Interfax news agency reported.
"Helping Thierry Drapeau is our duty," said Russian chef Mikhail Kovalev, a renowned restaurant director in Yekaterinburg who hosted Drapeau in the city.
"He arrived in Yekaterinburg at our invitation and we want him to keep good memories of the city and its inhabitants," he added.
