Acts such as Wang Chung, Tiffany, Howard Jones and Alphaville turned the open-air stage at Fort Canning Park into a 1980s time capsule at the Retrolicious concert on Saturday.
At their first concert here, Brit Band Wang Chung won chums with all-time hits such as Let's Go and Everybody Have Fun Tonight.
Next was former American teen idol Tiffany, who celebrated her 41st birthday last Tuesday but still delivered bubblegum singles I Think We're Alone Now and Radio Romance with pop and zest.
Howard Jones' segment was a crash course on the best and worst of synthpop - actually hearing his voice on New Song was the highlight of his set of six, while What Is Love was sheer autotune agony, heightened by the inconstant acoustics of the open air stage.
