Produce is part of 3-Michelin-starred chef Guy Martin's DNA

Coming from a family of farmers, three-Michelin-starred chef Guy Martin goes back to his roots as he travels through France searching for local farmers and their best produce in his TV series Epicerie Fine.

In its second season, the 35 episode show will debut on TV5Monde (Starhub Channel 152) on October 23 at 2.30pm.

On his experience filming the series, the 55-year-old Frenchman says in French via a translator: "It's my goal to showcase the product as the star in the programme. It's my job to anticipate trends and follow the rhythm of seasonal cuisine."

The owner of Parisian restaurant Le Grande Vefour says his modern French cooking is inspired by art. "Paintings are my No. 1 source of inspiration and I love going for exhibitions. I don't paint though, it's better I stay in the kitchen."
