More airlines are offering premium economy class seats, where you get more leg room, increased baggage allowance and better inflight F&B offerings - but without the business class price tag.

Sometimes called the compromise between business and cattle class, at least 20 airlines such as British Airways, China Southern Airlines, Air France and Virgin Atlantic currently offer the service.

Tickets can cost as much as double the price of a normal economy seat, depending on the destination and the date of departure, but considerably less than a business class ticket.
