Popular Indian Bollywood singer Kailash Kher to perform here

At last year's Kalaa Utsavam at the Esplanade, a concert by two popular bands from the Indian sub-continent - Indian Ocean from India and Strings from Pakistan - set the tone for India-Pakistan superband collaborations in Singapore.

Next month, popular Indian Bollywood singer Kailash Kher and Pakistani classical singer Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan pick up the pace with Anhad.

The word, which means Without Boundaries, sums up the aim of their concert at The Star Theatre on Feb 2 - to go beyond borders through music.

From Kher, the audience can expect to hear his breakout song Allah Ke Bande (God's Men) (2003) and other Bollywood hits.
