Photography workshop Shooting Home by visual arts centre Objectifs is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a major exhibition at the National Museum of Singapore.
More than 160 photographs will be displayed in the concourse of the museum when the show opens on Saturday (Oct 20).
The exhibition focuses on themes of home and identity and it will highlight works by 10 alumni of the annual workshop-cum-mentorship programme. Those featured include photographer Ms Deanna Ng and Straits Times photojournalist Ng Sor Luan. There will also be a section showing one photograph from each of the 96 participants of the workshop over the last decade.
The workshop has groomed talent in Singapore's photography scene, launched professional careers for former hobbyists and even spawned a version for teenagers.
