Towards the end of recording her second album, Taiwanese singer Canace Wu Yi-fan had to seek her younger brother's help in getting their overly enthusiastic father out of the studio.

Wu, 33, says: "I only let him in for the very last studio session, and he just refused to go home. He'd take control of the microphone and tell me to stop singing, even before my producer could say anything."

So she had to hide in a corner of the studio and send a message to her brother, Yi-wei, who is three years younger than her, for help to take him home.

She sent him a message saying: "I beg you, please take him away." and he just replied: "Don't you know your dad?"
