There will be free performances by 200 Singaporean and international artists during the 10-day annual Mosaic Music Festival here next month.

Musicians performing as part of Mosaic's free programme say it is a good platform to showcase their music.

The Impatient Sisters vocalist Soraya Taib, 27, says the band's upcoming gig here on March 12 will be their first proper performance outside Malaysia.

She says: "To be a part of Mosaic is such an honour, playing alongside bands such as American rock band Mutemath and Grammy-Award winning jazz artist Esperanza Spalding. To be part of this event is a really good chance for us to be out of our comfort zone."
