Oscar nomination gives me butterflies in the stomach: Jennifer Lawrence

An Oscar nomination is like "getting a promotion at work", says actress Jennifer Lawrence.

But the prospect of getting one gives her butterflies in the stomach, says the acclaimed young actress, because of the social obligations that come with it.

"I get anxiety over parties. And that's what that means, essentially, to me. Being surrounded by lots of people... it makes me anxious just to think about it," she explains.

Speaking to reporters in Los Angeles one day before she earned a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her new movie, Silver Linings Playbook, the 22-year-old star seems acutely aware of how young she is to be experiencing such success in the business.
