More new local cafes entering the scene boasting bigger menus and retro chic interiors

The coffee boom is not letting up.
This time, the spotlight is on the local kopi and kaya toast scene, with new players entering the market.
New brands include Hill Street Coffee Shop by the Select Group, 1983 A Taste Of Nanyang by food court operator Koufu and Owl Cafe, which is popular for its instant coffee packs.
The interiors of these cafes ooze retro chic, and bring customers back to the good old days of sipping a heady brew from thick-rimmed ceramic cups with a distinctive green pattern stamped on them.
