January promises to be a visual arts blockbuster month.
From the third edition of the high-end contemporary art fair Art Stage Singapore to the first hotel art fair to multiple exhibitions as well as assorted talks and auctions, art lovers have lots to choose from in the next two weeks.
They can take their pick from Worlds Apart Fair, Singapore's first hotel art fair that promises to be "intimate". Targeting 3,000 visitors, the fair is staged in 40 hotel rooms on the 23th and 24th floors of the Conrad Centennial and is on from Jan 25 to 27.
The glitzier, more established Art Stage Singapore returns to the Marina Bay Sands Convention & Exhibition Centre, and runs from Jan 24 to 27.
Given the number of events - more than 50 at last count - the Singapore Tourism Board is supporting the week-long run of various art experiences by publishing a comprehensive 56-page Art Week Guide to help art lovers navigate their way around town. The information is also available on its digital platform - www.yoursingapore.com/singaporeartweek.
