As Bond girls go, Skyfall's Naomie Harris and Berenice Marlohe represent opposite ends of the spectrum.
Harris, a Cambridge-educated British actress who starred in the 2002 zombie flick 28 Days Later, is MI6 field agent Eve, a thoroughly modern woman who is Bond's colleague and verbal sparring partner.
The half French, half Cambodian-Chinese Marlohe, who was plucked from obscurity for this movie, plays Severine, an old-school femme fatale who may hold the key to 007's mission.
Answering a question from Life! about the sexist portrayal of many of Bond's female characters, Harris, 36, says: "The producers, writers and those who control the franchise in these movie recognise that, and they're not interested in perpetrating that anymore. That's one of the things they said when they offered me the role - that this is a modern woman, and we want that represented."
