MDA offers new scholarship for aspiring film-makers
The year is starting out on a great note for local film-makers.
The inaugural batch of eight recipients of the New Talent Feature Grant announced last month will be working on their feature films.
And from now till March 15, budding film-makers can apply for a new scholarship, Media Education Scheme (Film), from the Media Development Authority (MDA). Its value can be upwards of $150,000 per recipient.
The Media Education Scheme is a scholarship offered by MDA and it was launched in 2003. The decision to create a separate category for film was the result of feedback from the film community. The general scholarship under the scheme continues to be available.
