Man held over US show Breaking Bad script theft
LOS ANGELES (AFP) - Police said on Tuesday that they arrested a man accused of stealing a script for Emmy award-winning United States TV show Breaking Bad from star actor Bryan Cranston's car.
Xavier McAfee, 29, was detained on suspicion of burglary last week and appeared in court on Monday in New Mexico, where the actor lives and the show is set, said Bernalillo County Sheriff's officials.
Cranston's car was broken into in Sandia Peak, near Albuquerque in December, and belongings including an iPad, a shoulder bag and "miscellaneous" personal items were stolen.
"On Dec 20, 2012, Bryan Cranston's vehicle was broken into... Several items were stolen from his vehicle to include a script for the television series Breaking Bad," said a sheriff's office statement.
