Mammoth-sized dishes at Spathe The Public House

At Spathe The Public House, you are encouraged to share. A section of the menu at this new restaurant in Mohamed Sultan Road is devoted to dishes served in mammoth portions - enough for four to six persons, depending on how hungry you are.

There is, for example, a metre-long hotdog, a large confit duck puff and a whole pot of baked mussels.

But if you are dining in a smaller group, you can also order the same dishes in individual portions.

They do not always turn out the same though. The individual serving of Provencal baked NZ mussels are better because the sharing portion needs to be cooked longer and the shellfish gets more dried out as a result.
