Popular Malaysian restaurant chain Madam Kwan's, famed for its fragrant nasi lemak and tasty nasi bojari, a tri-coloured rice served with other dishes, will be opening its first overseas restaurant, at VivoCity mall here.

The 4,000 sq-ft ground floor space is slated to open in May, and will be wholly owned by Madam Kwan's.

Diners can expect to pay about $12 to $15 for a plate of nasi lemak, which is served with an assortment of dishes and condiments which include acar, ikan bilis and onion sambal, half a hard-boiled egg, spicy floss and chicken curry.

The restaurant will have a contemporary design, and will offer over 100 items, from fish head curry to chendol.
