Parody fever has hit Singapore and media experts say this trend among media- savvy Singaporeans is here to stay.

These days, parody videos have high production values and are filmed on location in Singapore, unlike earlier versions which were cobbled together using existing footage or photos.

The ease and affordability of camera equipment is one reason for the rise of such videos.

After the wave of parodies featuring Singaporeans doing their own spin on Korean rapper Psy's gigantic hit, Gangnam Style, Singaporeans have turned to spoofing Brad Pitt's much ridiculed Chanel No 5 perfume advertisement.
