Learning online for free

Sites offering Mass Open Online Courses (MOOC) such as Coursera, edX, and Udacity are partnering top universities and industry professionals, and leading the way in providing free world-class online education.

At least 9,000 Singaporeans have enrolled for such courses according to a Coursera spokesman.

Singaporeans who spoke to Sunday Life! say it takes dedication to complete a course which can be very demanding on one's time.

But others are just happy to have the option of learning something new without having to pay.
