The self-taught Dixon has ventured into new areas, such as interior designer - and now, fashion wear. At a recent interview in Singapore to launch his latest accessories collection, Eclectic, Dixon shares that he is launching a range of luggage and clothes with sports giant adidas.
The 53-year-old says that the process is "terrifying", given that it is a new realm for the designer of the iconic S-Chair (1991) and Wingback Chair (2007).
On why the urge to keep pushing himself beyond his hallmark furniture design, he says: "I get bored easily and I wish furniture seasons would change a bit faster, like fashion. But having so many things to design for, I'm always experimenting new products."
