I'm not as 'light' as I look, says The Master actress Amy Adams

With her wide-eyed gaze and sweet disposition, Amy Adams looks like the sort of woman who springs out of bed singing and gets dressed with the help of small woodland creatures.
In a one-on-one chat with Life! at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills last month, Adams, who was publicising her latest film The Master, says she knows she "can come across as polite and sort of 'light'.
"But I was never really afraid of being typecast, because I knew I had another side of my personality that eventually, as I got older, I would be able to bring to my work," the 38-year-old says.
"Then (director) David O. Russell cast me in The Fighter, which I think helped."
