Taiwanese writer and illustrator Jimmy Liao is looking forward to his first meeting with fans in Singapore.
The author has published more than 40 illustrated books since 1998 and his popular works have been adapted into musicals and movies such as Turn Left, Turn Right (2003).
He will be in town next week for the Singapore Writers Festival, where he is also a panel speaker on children's literature.
He started out with picture books and later crossed over to illustrated stories but he does not consider his picture books strictly children's literature.
