Hugh Grant finds it hard to play evil in Cloud Atlas
It turned out to be harder to play a villain in a movie than British actor Hugh Grant had thought.
In the epic science fiction thriller Cloud Atlas, the 52-year-old star of Four Weddings And A Funeral (1994), Notting Hill (1999), About A Boy (2002) and the Bridget Jones films (2001, 2004) takes on six unsavoury roles.
"I do a lot of killing and raping," he adds of his various characters. "I wear an awful lot of prosthetic make up, too. You probably won't know that I am in the film.
"In one of the parts, I am a cannibal, about 2,000 years in the future, and I thought, 'I can do that. It's easy.'
