Companies such as iOne by Jackson Global, iHome and Anjels have developed applications that home owners can download and wirelessly connect to lights, security systems, rain and sun sensors for blinds and air-conditioning. Some even have web-camera options where you can digitally enter your home to check on it.
Smart homes is one of four trends that those in the interior decorating industry say will be big this year.
