Gwiyomi singer Hari is as cute as the hit song, uses hand gestures in interviews
Thanks to the popularity of the song Gwiyomi, Korean singer Hari flew on a plane for the first time. Unfortunately, it was not an experience she relished.
Speaking to the media at Warner Music Singapore's office through an interpreter, the 23-year-old sweetie-pie says: "I have an acute fear of heights and I had to take some medicine to slow down my heart rate. Even then, I felt quite scared and was sweating and didn't enjoy the flight."
She was in Singapore to promote the song Gwiyomi, which is Korean slang for "cutie". Hari performed the ditty with a series of cute hand movements and the video went viral in early 2013. It has since been covered by fans across the region as well as South Korean stars such as Super Junior and Girls' Generation.
In person, Hari is as cute as her song. Dressed in a cream and black dress with pink nails and her hair done up in two little buns, she could pass off for a manga character.
